Full Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care

  • Assist clients with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support clients with mobility and physical exercises.

Medication Management

  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor and document medication intake and report any issues or concerns.

Health Monitoring

  • Observe and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and physical condition.
  • Assist with basic medical care tasks such as taking temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.

Nutritional Support

  • Prepare and serve meals according to clients’ dietary needs and preferences.
  • Assist clients with eating and drinking, ensuring they receive adequate nutrition.

Emotional and Social Support

  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities and conversations.
  • Support clients in maintaining social connections and participating in community activities.

Household Assistance

  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
  • Help clients with shopping, running errands, and managing household tasks.

Client Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
  • Document and report any significant changes or incidents to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure all care practices comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Follow health and safety protocols to protect clients and oneself from potential hazards.

Essential Qualifications:

✔ Previous experience in a care setting or related field.  

✔ NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification.  

✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  

✔ Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.  

✔ Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.  

✔ Willingness to undergo training and continuous professional development.  

✔ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

✔Legal authorization to work in the UK.
