Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation
- Analyze blueprints and technical documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical projects.
- Identify and evaluate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment required for each project.
Bid Preparation
- Develop detailed and competitive bid proposals for electrical projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure bid accuracy and completeness.
Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination
- Source and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors for the best prices and services.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on project requirements and budget constraints.
Budget Management
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure projects remain within financial constraints.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project cost status to management.
Project Planning
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of electrical projects to ensure timely completion.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop work breakdown structures and project timelines.
Risk Assessment
- Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making and project planning.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cost estimates, bids, and project budgets.
- Prepare and present reports on project cost performance and financial status.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure all cost estimates and bids comply with industry standards, regulations, and codes.
- Stay updated on changes in electrical codes and industry best practices.
Essential Qualifications:
✔ Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
✔ Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar role.
✔ Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards.
✔ Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
✔ Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
