General Roofing Superintendent

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

• Oversee all aspects of roofing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Develop project schedules and coordinate with clients, contractors, and team members.

Team Supervision

• Lead and manage roofing crews, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Assign tasks and monitor work to ensure adherence to project plans and quality standards.

Safety Compliance

• Ensure all roofing operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to prevent accidents and injuries.

Quality Control

• Monitor and inspect roofing work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
• Address any issues or deficiencies promptly and implement corrective actions.

Material Management

• Coordinate the procurement, delivery, and storage of roofing materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are used efficiently.

Budget Management

• Monitor project budgets and control costs to ensure projects remain within financial constraints.
• Provide regular updates and reports on budget status to management.

Client Communication

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
• Provide regular updates on project progress and completion.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including work logs, safety reports, and inspection results.
• Prepare and submit reports on project performance and outcomes.

Problem Solving

• Identify potential challenges and develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during project execution.

‍Essential Qualifications:

✔ High school diploma or equivalent.  

✔ At least 5 years of experience in commercial roofing projects. Cold storage experience preferred.  

✔ Ability to travel; must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.  

✔ Comprehensive knowledge of various commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.  

✔ Physically capable of handling all aspects of the inspection process.  

✔ OSHA 30 certificate preferred.  

✔ Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.  

✔ Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).  ✔ Familiarity with tablets, Apple iPads (iPadOS).
