Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Planning and Coordination
- Develop and implement efficient logistics plans and strategies for the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Ensure logistics operations align with company goals and client requirements.
Supplier and Transportation Management
- Proactively manage relationships with suppliers and transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with suppliers and carriers.
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead and manage the logistics team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews to maintain a motivated and efficient team.
Operational Efficiency and Optimization
- Monitor logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Compliance and Quality Control
- Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high-quality standards.
Administrative and Reporting Duties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logistics records in the logistics management system.
- Generate regular reports on logistics performance, costs, and compliance.
Essential Qualifications:
