Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Planning and Coordination

  • Develop and implement efficient logistics plans and strategies for the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods.
  • Ensure logistics operations align with company goals and client requirements.

Supplier and Transportation Management

  • Proactively manage relationships with suppliers and transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with suppliers and carriers.

Team Leadership and Management

  • Lead and manage the logistics team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews to maintain a motivated and efficient team.

Operational Efficiency and Optimization

  • Monitor logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Compliance and Quality Control

  • Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high-quality standards.

Administrative and Reporting Duties

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logistics records in the logistics management system.
  • Generate regular reports on logistics performance, costs, and compliance.

Essential Qualifications:

✔ Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field

✔ 5+ years' experience in a similar role  

✔ Proficiency in logistics management software and tools  

✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills  

✔ Ability to conduct site visits and inspections  

✔ Legal authorization to work in the UK
